When looking to replace your windows and doors, it generally throws up quite a lot of questions. These are questions that need answering before you go ahead and have any work done. So this page has been created to answer any queries you may have about us as a company and how we go about our work.

Q: What is your average lead time?

A: Our average lead time can be between 3-6 weeks depending on the time of year. Summer sees our longest lead times due to people wanting to replace their windows and doors whilst the weather is (supposed to be) better! Winter sees our lead times drop a little. Though these are all subject to how busy we are at the time. They could of course be longer, so if you’re thinking about new windows and doors but want them replacing sooner rather than later, don’t leave it too long!

 

Q: Where do you start fitting first?

A: On a two story building, we always start upstairs first and work our way down. There are a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, if there are bedroom windows to replace, we want to get the room where you sleep ready as soon as possible so there is minimal disruption. The second reason is that if our installers are working outside, and they accidentally drop something, no damage is done to the new windows. Doors are always installed at the end due to the amount of opening and shutting that is required.

 

Q: What do I need to do before my windows and doors are installed?

A: There isn’t much you need to do other than to give our installers a clean working area. That basically means remove all ornaments, plants, blinds and curtain tracks out of the way of the windows and doors. That way, nothing precious could get damaged when taking the window or door out. We take care of everything else. Wherever our installers have to work or walk, those surfaces will be covered by sheets so that no muck or mess gets on your furniture or floors. Once all the products have been installed, they will be cleaned and polished both inside and out, and we even vacuum after ourselves as well! We are very lucky to have very efficient, clean and dedicated installers who take a great deal of pride in their work!

 

Q: Are your quotations free of charge?

A: Yes, we do not charge for our quotations. Organising for one is simple. Either call us on 0800 146551, email us at [email protected] or use our Contact Us page, or visit us at our showroom. We’re not a hard sell company, nor do we use any pressure sales tactics. All prices are given clearly in writing and are worked out as cheap as possible in the first place. We believe in being straight forward to with the customer as we also believe no one likes to be messed around!

 

Q: When do you work?

A: Our office hours can be found on our home page. Our sales consultants can visit you at your home, morning, afternoon or evening, Monday to Friday at a time that suits you. Our installers work Monday to Friday and we usually start our work in a morning bright and early at around 8am. Times can be arranged to start work but we like to take advantage of an early start so that the work can be completed as soon as possible!

 

Q: Which areas do you operate in?

A: We traditionally work mostly in the West and South Yorkshire areas, mostly in West Yorkshire though. However, we will go further afield to make sure you get the windows and doors you want!
