Timber Look Joints

One of the key design features of our Evolution timber alternative PVCu windows are the timber look joints. Original timber windows were never welded on a 45 degree angle. They were butt jointed vertically and horizontally to create that strong and reliable joint that was quintessential to high quality timber windows. That is what our timber alternative PVCu windows come with too. Timber look joints help recreate that perfect timber window look and once you have seen them, you won’t want to opt for anything else.

Storm 2

Storm 2 is the casement window range by Evolution. It has been designed not only to replicate the very best aesthetic features of timber windows, but to also stand up to the very worst the British weather can throw at it – hence the name Storm.

It comes with the signature 82mm deep outer frame which gives it that chunky timber look, along with the slim Sculptured edges, timber look joints and exclusive 45mm deep external window cill. Available in a huge array of colours and wood grain finishes, as well as a variety of hardware and glazing options. The Storm 2 range of windows achieves an impressive energy rating of A+13 and a U-Value of 1.4.

Unlike traditional PVCu casement windows, the Storm 2 casement range has been designed deliberately to have a very shallow depth on the casement to mimic the proportions of timber windows.

Flush

Unlike the Storm 2 range which has a rebated shallow sash, the Evolution flush casement range of windows is exactly as it sounds, completely flush on the outside. This is an option that is rapidly becoming popular among homeowners looking to recreate the most authentic timber look possible.

Flush casements are completely flat on the outside, allowing for a clean, minimalistic look, and available in both a standard weld and timber look joint. Just like the Storm 2 range, the flush range achieves an impressive A+11 energy rating with a 1.4 U-Value.

The flush range of timber alternative PVCu windows also comes in a wide selection of colours and wood grain finishes, and can be sprayed custom colours as an upgrade. The exclusive 45mm deep external window cill, as well as full suite of hardware ranges are available on the flush window system.
